This commission to devise and provide a chest full of activities based on the Chain Bridge for families to be located at Llangollen Museum was realised by Siân Shakespear who:
- researched into the bridge and bridges in general
- devised the concepts and the content for various activities:
- a snakes and ladders game based on the various methods of building bridges
- a series of historic made up postcards to be matched according to date by slotting them correctly
- pair quotes about the bridge and the river with different characters, historical and modern on a magnetic board
- bridge building kit
- magnetic jig-saw, colour in picture and fill in the missing link picture
- work with a designer and construction company to devise and produce the chest and all activities
