Parc Meurig, Bethesda – celebration and interpretation of Llyfr Mawr y Plant

This commission was realised by Siân Shakespear who

  • undertook sessions to raise awareness of Bethesda’s connections with Llyfr Mawr y Plant amongst pupils in various schools in Dyffryn Ogwen
  • worked with an artist to hold slate and timber carving workshops with the school pupils
  • devised the concept for the content of an outdoor panel
  • researched and drafted the text
  • supervised a sub-contractor to design and produce the panel
  • supervised the installation of all items including those carved by the pupils
